House of Lanvin, or House of Xclusive Lanvin, is a ballroom house formed in 2013 when two ballroom houses, the Lavish House of Lacroix and the Conceptual House of Evisu, merged and became a single house. The members from each of these houses took on the last name of Lanvin. For example, MC Dashaun Wesley, formerly known as Dashaun Evisu, was one of its well-known members, and is now know in ballroom as Dashaun Lanvin.
The House of Lanvin appears in the first season of the HBO Max original reality-competition series "Legendary". The members present themselves as very confident, and believe they are the trend-setters of ballroom culture. They're unique, and are always coming up with something new and creative. Lanvin believes they are the best House, and already see themselves as the winner of the entire competition. However, House of Lanvin is also a close family centered around Mother Eyricka, an openly transgender woman, and each member finds a safe space to be themselves in the ballroom.[1]

Behind the Scenes[]
The House of Lanvin was allegedly the only house in which all of its members personally knew each other. Reportedly, other contestants felt that this created an unfair environment for the rest of the houses and their members due to the judges consistently praising mother Eyricka Lanvin for having a "motherly" aura and energy in her house's performances. Some contestants felt that this type of presence was impossible to achieve by other houses, as their members came from different chapters across the United States, and in some cases the entire world, so they could not showcase or successfully replicate a personal bond.[2]
In episode four Wild Wild West, Pack-Rat insinuated in the House of Lanvin's interviews that her body is not "ideal" in ballroom, and you do not see girls like her walking in the body categories. Pack-Rat also revealed that she was not always confident in herself due to personal body image issues. According to members of ballroom culture outside of "Legendary", Pack-Rat is known for walking and winning in the "body" categories, and is a fierce contender when it comes to "selling" her body to ballroom judges.[3]
In the episode seven Capes & Tights hand-performance category Elastic Fantastic, according to Jamari Balmain from the House of Balmain in a YouTube video of him reacting to the episode, Carlos Lanvin and Monster 007 battled twice, and only the second battle was shown in the final cut of the episode. Carlos then went on to win the overall category.[4]
In the episode eight Atlantis category "Octo Pus Pus Party", during the critiques, Jarrell Gucci noticed guest judge Tamar Braxton lean over to judge Leiomy Maldonado and ask her a question, but did not hear what the judges said to each other. He concluded that Tamar asked Leiomy a question about which house she should vote for, and exclaimed that he will bring this situation up when he is on the stage later in the ball. According to Pack-Rat Lanvin on her Instagram story, guest judge Tamar Braxton initially voted for the House of La'Gorgeous to win the category, but changed her vote after leaning over to Leiomy to ask her a question. This was not shown in the final cut of the episode, and instead we only see Tamar initially vote for the House of Bal'Scada.[5]
In episode nine Heaven and Hell, the House of Balmain and House of Lanvin battled in the Five Elements category twice, but only the second battle was shown in the final cut of the episode and viewers were led to believe there was only one battle. After the first battle, judge Law Roach was confused on what occurred and what he was to be looking for in terms of five elements performance. As a result, producers walked on stage and asked the houses if they would like to battle again, to which the House of Lanvin agreed. According to Zay Lanvin, the judges viewed the members of the House of Lanvin as cocky throughout the competition, thus House of Lanvin agreed to battle a second time to appease the will of the judges and change the narrative.[6][7]
After the second battle and when House of Balmain was announced as the winner of "Legendary", producers revealed to the House of Lanvin they won the first battle, while the House of Balmain won the second battle. Eyricka Lanvin revealed on her Instagram Live she thought this was shady, and believed the judges wanted the houses to battle until the House of Balmain finally won, which would align with the judges' and producers' existing bias towards the House of Balmain.[6][7]
Throughout the competition, members from other houses felt that the House of Lanvin was not held to the same standards by the judges as compared to the rest of the houses. For example, in episode five Remember the Times, judge Law Roach tells mother Eyricka Lanvin that he would've preferred for her to stand in the middle of the house production and "look pretty". Other house members saw this as an unfair critique, as they felt Eyricka could coast by in the competition relying on her looks because the judges constantly admired her beauty even if her dance movements were lackluster. Furthermore, some contestants felt they could not get away with things that Eyricka could, as they would have been reprimanded for not doing enough in their performances.[2]
Welcome to My House[]
In episode one Welcome to My House, the House of Lanvin must make their first statement to their judges, which is typically called "The Grand March" in the ballroom. Lanvin must create and choreograph a performance that is true to their House.
In the performance, the House of Lanvin wears high-fashion red garments. Their performance is primarily vogue-oriented, with Mother Eyricka being the center, who serves both runway and vogue elements. The judges give praise for all aspects of the performance, and enjoy the choice of red outfits. Jameela exclaims Lanvin made her experience her "first gag", and took her "gag virginity".

Eyricka Lanvin is a bandit and Pack-Rat Lanvin is the sheriff. The judges give positive critiques for their fashion, performance, and runway. Leiomy feels that the faces of the House of Lanvin lacked emotion, but Eyricka receives praise from Law Roach for embodying the role of "mother" in all of her performances thus far.
The judges choose the House of Ninja as the winner of this category.

However, the twist in this episode is that the remaining houses must battle mysterious supervillains from the ballroom scene in order to win the overall category. Queen Titans[]
Zay Lanvin Queen Titans

Furthermore, he believes he is the embodiment of "runway". Initially, Zay is covered in a green paper-like material which he then rips off to reveal his superhero outfit.
After the first performance round, the judges choose Jamari Balmain from the House of Balmain as the winner of the first round, and to face the mysterious supervillain in the final round. The supervillain is revealed to be Shorty Ebony from the House of Ebony, who was eliminated in episode five Remember the Times.
Elastic Fantastic[]
Carlos Lanvin Elastic Fantastic
Carlos Lanvin chooses to walk this category, and wears an outfit inspired by the Marvel Comics superhero known as Doctor Strange. Carlos and his house members view this as a rematch against Jeter Gucci from the House of Gucci, as Jeter won over Carlos in the "#March of the Mummies" old-way vogue category in episode five Remember the Times.
After the first performance round, the judges choose Carlos as their favorite performer, and to face the supervillain. The supervillain is revealed to be Monster 007, formerly known as Monster Labeija, under the persona of "The Beast". After the battle, the judges choose Carlos as the winner and he receives $5,000.

After the performance round, the judges choose Eyricka as their favorite performer, and to face the mysterious supervillain. The supervillain is revealed to be previously eliminated contestant Champ St. Laurent from the House of St. Laurent under the persona of "The Penguin".
During the battle, Champ utilizes an umbrella as a prop for his poses, and Eyricka decides before-hand that she will take the umbrella from him mid-battle. Within the ballroom scene, Champ is Eyricka's brother, so she knows that if she takes the umbrella, he will not get "rough or aggressive" with her.[8]. Thus, she takes the umbrella from him after wrestling for it during the first few poses. After the battle, the judges choose Eyricka as the winner and she receives $5,000.
Wonder Twin Power[]
Lanvin Wonder Twin Power First Round
Lanvin Wonder Twin Power Second Round

Outcome[]
In this episode, none of the houses are in the bottom two or eliminated from the competition; however, the judges choose the House of Lanvin as the Superior House of the week. This is the House of Lanvin's fourth superior house win of the overall competition.
As a reward for winning this ball, mother Eyricka Lanvin is allowed to choose which of the other three houses she wants to team up with in the next episode in order to form a mega-house. She chooses the House of Gucci, which creates the mega-house of La'Gorgeous. As a result, the remaining two houses, the House of Balmain and the House of Escada, team up to form the mega-house of Bal'Scada.
Atlantis[]
Eyricka, Makayla, and Zay Lanvin
Eyricka Lanvin

- Fifth Category: Rich Fish Bitch
- Two members from each mega-house must walk this category, and must showcase a bizarre outfit while oozing with a "rich bitch" aura.
Tales from Atlantis[]
La'Gorgeous Tales from Atlantis
In the category, Eyricka Lanvin chooses to walk face, Zay Lanvin chooses to walk runway, and Makayla Lanvin chooses to perform vogue.
After the performance, judge Leiomy Maldonado expresses disappointment that only members from the original House of Lanvin participated in the category, instead of adhering to the mega-house theme. However, judge Law Roach disagrees and believes it was a strategic idea to bring out the the top contenders of the competition to walk the category, as the House of Lanvin has already won four superior house titles.
Judges Jameela Jamil and Megan Thee Stallion choose the House of Bal'Scada as their favorite, but the remaining three judges choose the House of La'Gorgeous. Thus, the House of La'Gorgeous wins this category.
Octo Pus Pus Party[]
Delicious Gucci, Jeter Gucci, Carlos Lanvin, and Pack-Rat Lanvin choose to walk this category. Carlos and Jeter participate in this category because they are known for excelling in hand-performance. In their performance, La'Gorgeous wears jellyfish inspired garments and headdresses.
After their performance, the judges feel the La'Gorgeous members were out of sync, but they give positive critiques for the makeup and fashion choices. Judge Law Roach expresses discontentment with both of the mega-house's performances, as he does not believe any of the two performances were worthy of winning the grand prize of $100,000.
La'Gorgeous Octo Pus Pus Party
During the critiques, Jarrell Gucci notices guest judge Tamar Braxton lean over to judge Leiomy Maldonado and ask her a question, but he only sees Tamar lean over and does not hear what the judges say to each other. He concludes that Tamar asked Leiomy a question about which house she should vote for, and exclaims that he will bring this situation up when he is on the stage later in the ball.
According to Pack-Rat Lanvin on her Instagram story, guest judge Tamar Braxton initially voted for the House of La'Gorgeous to win the category, but changed her vote after leaning over to Leiomy to ask her a question. This was not shown in the final cut of the episode, and instead we only see Tamar initially vote for the House of Bal'Scada.
At the end of the critiques, the judges give three votes to the House of Bal'Scada, and they win the category.
Merfolk Physiques[]
Jarrell Gucci
Jarrell Gucci chooses to walk this category, as he typically walks body and sex siren categories in the ballroom scene. He also wants to redeem himself for losing the earlier body category of the season, "Sheriff of Seduction", during episode four Wild Wild West.
In the first round, he must perform alone, and in the second round he must battle against a member from the Mega-House of Bal'Scada. He competes against Cali Balmain from the Mega-House of Bal'Scada in the second round, and the judges choose Jarrell as the winner of this category.
To Sea or Not to Sea[]
Deshon Gucci and Pack-Rat Lanvin
Deshon Gucci and Pack-Rat Lanvin choose to walk this category, with Deshon performing a dramatics style of vogue and Pack-Rat performing a soft and feminine style of vogue.
In the first round, they must perform as a duo, and then battle against the duo from the Mega-House of Bal'Scada in the second round. They compete against Shyanne Escada and Torie Balmain from the Mega-House of Bal'Scada in the second round, and the judges choose Shyanne and Torie as the winners of this category.
Rich Fish Bitch[]
Eyricka Lanvin
Eyricka Lanvin and Jarrell Gucci choose to walk this category. In the first round, they must perform as a duo, and then battle against a duo from the Mega-House of Bal'Scada in the second round. They compete against London Escada and Jamari Balmain in the second round.
During the battle, there is noticeable tension between Eyricka and London, and they throw shade to each other as they perform in front of the judges. Eyricka tries to convince the judges that her house's looks are better in terms of fashion, but London continually exclaims that Eyricka is wearing the same outfit that she wore in the "Tales from Atlantis" category.
After the battle, the judges express that the duo from the Mega-House of Bal'Scada had a more "bizarre" fashion choice, and that is what the category called for, thus they choose London and Jamari as the winners of this category.
Outcome[]
Since the House of La'Gorgeous only won two of the ball's five categories, the House of Gucci and the House of Lanvin are automatically placed in the bottom two, and must participate in a vogue redemption battle.
Father Gorgeous Jarrell Gucci chooses Jeter Gucci, and mother Eyricka Lanvin chooses Makayla Lanvin to participate in the battle. After the battle, the judges choose Makayla and the House of Lanvin to stay in the competition and compete in the final ball. Therefore, the House of Gucci is eliminated from the competition and come in fourth place overall.
